수성국제비엔날레는 건축과 조경을 주제로 도시와 자연, 사람과 환경의 관계를 탐구해 이를 실천으로 옮기는 ‘실행 중심’의 국제 행사이다.

대구 수성구를 무대로 2년마다 개최되며, 단순한 전시행사를 넘어 차별화된 건축·조경 작품을 실제로 조성해 도시 전체를 하나의 거대한 갤러리로 만드는 ‘짓는 비엔날레’를 목표로 한다.
또한 국내외 전문가들과 함께 수성구의 고유한 역사와 풍경을 건축과 조경을 통해 국제적 담론 속에서 새롭게 조명함으로써 수성구와 세계를 연결하는 플랫폼으로 기능한다.

우리의 삶에 일상적으로, 그리고 당연하게 존재해 온 건축과 조경을 예술로 변모시킴으로써 누구나 예술적 경험을 누리는 미래도시를 만들고자 한다.



The Suseong International Biennale is an international festival focused on architecture and landscape, exploring the relationship between city and nature, people and environment, and putting these ideas into practice as an action-oriented biennale.

Held biennially in Suseong District, Daegu, it goes beyond a conventional exhibition by creating distinctive works of architecture and landscape that transform the entire city into a vast open-air gallery, establishing itself as a true ‘Biennale of Realization.’ Additionally, in collaboration with experts from home and abroad, it reinterprets Suseong’s unique history and landscapes within the framework of international discourse, serving as a platform that connects Suseong with the world.

By transforming architecture and landscape—elements that have always been integral to our daily lives—into works of art, it envisions a future city where everyone can share in artistic experiences.
