Suseong Light Art Festival Held on 11th of December 28, 2020! Suseong light, shine on the way to hap
One of the toughest period was 2020, Suseong-gu prepared wonderous and joyful the 2ndSuseong Light Art Festival which can be healed from the light has started from 11thof December to 3rdof January, 2021 nearby Suseong lake around 2,020 meter.
There are light arts starting from Dusan waterfall surrounding Suseong lake perimeter. It is the winter festival which made from around 8000 citizens, artists, and 11 famous authors.
Especially there is 12 meters large moon in diameter shining for 24 days on the middle of the Suseong lake to wish better next year and put aside this year.
It is planning to have 4 times of drone performances by 200 drones at 7pm on 11thof December, 8pm on 24thand 31stof December, and 3rdof January. It will broadcast on the Suseong district office and Suseong Culture Foundations YouTube channel with delivering warm and hopeful messages on the sky of Suseong lake.
Although because of the Covid19, all of us on earth get through pandemic, there are 12 light art school including team Diamond at this Suseong Light Art Festival from last May chosen by competition. They have prepared this moment safe and flexibly at this changing time thanks to Covid19.
Indeed, since October two hundreds of artists joining at creating job project part of art have made light arts every day. They are main role of this art festival with having stable job.

Successfully Flying Suseongmot Lake Drone Taxi, Starting of Urban Skyway
UAM Flight Test in Daegu
Suseong-gu, Daegu announced that on 16that Suseongmot lake had tested UAM (Urban Air Mobility) flight to utilize drone taxi service. Its realization now that flying car in movies.

The 1stWorld Cultural Industry Forum (WCIF) was held on 28thwhich hosted by Daegu City and Suseong district and run by Korean Culture Industry Forum Corp.

Urban Air Mobility(UAM), in the other words, flying car is the transportation like an airplane which can solve too much traffic on the ground.
On September 2019 Hyundai Car Group had made UAM department and set their goals as commercialization of personal air mobility until 2028, in addition, composing UAM as 30% of whole business pie. Early of this year at Consumer Electronics Show CES) in the USA, they have announced about future mobility service model.
The government announced the K-UAM roadmap at the second innovation growth strategy meeting held in June. Suseong-gu, Deagu has held a video conference with Karlsruhe, Germany where is one of friendly cities at 4PM on 17th for discussing the new ways of international exchange due to the global spread of Covid-19.

Suseong-gu, paid tribute at a monument to Colonel Nayar who has been in the Korean War
Last 6th of June, There was a memorial event to pay respects for the 65th Memorial Day from Suseong-gu,Daegu (Head of suseong district named Daekwon, Kim).

On January 20, Suseong-gu has received the Presidential Award in Estimation of Fosterage of Women-friendly City in 2019 sponsored by the ministry of gender equality and family.
In this appraisal for 87 cities on a national scale which were designated by the ministry of gender equality and family had evaluated how well improved to build a women-friendly city in stages, made a city where is having atmosphere of gender equality and citizens are being secured and encouraged to make citizens life better.
After named as women-friendly city in 2012, as Suseong-gu had been re-named in 2017, it has developed as Happy Together Women-friendly City, Suseong to drive diverse services for equal participation of women and men, and positive discrimination.
The authorities said We put our efforts to have the representation of female in decision-making process and to publish the statistical results of gender sensitivity so that we can maintain gender mainstreaming policy in general district service., also mentioned that Resident participation group called Rose Supporters has been a good role model of empowerment training and stable action.
Especially Suseong Sorosis which had been opened in September 2013 in order to make specialized women-friendly city has gained enormous achievement in job creation for women and expanding social participation, indeed, now reaching 7th anniversary, it has been the role model nationally and not only local government in Republic of Korea also developing countries in South Asia are modeling after.
Hand-that-be in Suseong District Office announced that Building a women-friendly city involves every field like equality, womens participation in social and economic, security, care, eco-friendly and so on, and it has valued this Presidential Award because the policy will bring our citizens life better., also mentioned that We will make a good environment that women can easily join to social events initiatively, moreover well try to be a city with full of gender sensitive in the future.
