- Located in western Chengdu, Wenjiang District a transitional area between Chengdu’s central urban areas and Tianfu New Area, and the traffic hub to western Chengdu, governing 10 towns (sub-districts).
- Wenjiang has a humid subtropical climate. The district has got its name since long time ago because the four rivers that bring warm and moist air flow through the area. Due to the beautiful ecological environment, the area is also renowned as “Golden Wenjiang”.
- 4,000 years ago, Wenjiang was the birthplace of the ancient Shu Yufu kingdom. For centuries, it has been considered as a place of strategic importance in western Sichuan with long and rich history. It is also a place that gives birth to many creative minds and gifted talents.
